Hydraulic structures

How to monitor and optimise your sluice gate, pump station or weir?

Water authorities use sluice gates, pump stations and weirs in the operational management of the water system. It is not clear exactly how much water flows through these facilities. Any calibrations or registrations may deviate over the years. As a result, operating these hydraulic structures is less efficient than it could be.

To make optimal use of these structures, the flow rate can be measured with a seperate measuring station in the waterway. This offers several advantages:

  • Leakage currents are shown
  • Infrastructure performance is continuously monitored
